Energy Audits

An Analysis of Energy Flows to Identify Opportunities to Reduce Your Expenses

An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows for the purpose of identification of energy savings opportunities. The aim being to reduce the amount of energy input into the system, without negatively effecting the output. We offer three Australian Standard types of energy audit to assist you to make an informed decision on which products and services are right for your circumstances.

Type 1

Also known as a Walk Through Audit, Type 1 audits assess building energy efficiency to determine low-cost areas of improvement as well as reveal the necessity for other audit types. This type of audit is primarily based on visual verifications from our audit specialists and a more detailed study of installed equipment, basic operating data and energy consumption patterns.

Type 2

This detailed general energy audit is based on the results of an analysis of site-specific data that we carry out over a longer period. Significant savings of up to 20% can typically be realised after carrying out a Type 2 audit and it is our most popular audit type.

Type 3

Also known as an investment grade audit, this type of audit is an ongoing process whereby a large amount of energy data over multiple short periods of time is used to track energy usage at a granular level. Type 3 audits are most suitable for large buildings and developments as they offer the greatest level of accuracy and are carried out using specialised modelling software and equipment.
